  2.         P.I.M.S. PERSONAL INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

  5.       Are you someone who needs an administrative assistant for
  6.       tracking inventory and/or other record keeping functions?
  7.       Do you require reports sorted on multiple fields or with
  8.       subtotals by subdivision?  Do you require easy input, review,
  9.       and alteration of the data in your report?  If your answer
  10.       to ANY of these questions is Yes, and you have access to a
  11.       MS-DOS computer or to a VAX computer then P.I.M.S. may be
  12.       the software program for you.

  14.       P.I.M.S. is a well-prompted, error-tolerant, user-friendly
  15.       program that can maintain records of user defined columns
  16.       of data.  Many editing and review features allow you to keep
  17.       up-to-date lists.  Columns can be alphabetic, numeric or
  18.       computed by formula.  Files can be sorted on multiple columns
  19.       with 8 character precision.  Reports can be generated to produce
  20.       paper documentation.  These reports can be broken into sections
  21.       based on a specific column with or without section totals.

  23.       There is Full ON-SCREEN HELP and highlighting of menu selections.  
  24.       Menus are identical on MS-DOS and VAX/VMS and data files are 
  25.       fully compatible between systems.

  27.       A seventy-five page manual/user guide is available from
  28.       Niagara Learning Software (N.L.S.) at a cost of $5.

  30.       LIMITS: VAX: up to 1200 records and 15 columns per record.
  31.         MS-DOS: up to 350 records and 15 columns per record.

  33.       VAX P.I.M.S.  - requires only a username on the Vax Computer.
  34.             - purchase cost $250.

  36.       MS-DOS P.I.M.S. is Shareware: contribution asked of $10 (+$2 if
  37.       mailed).  Site license for up to 25 stn. network costs $50.
  38.          - requires MS-DOS computer with at least 256K memory
  39.          - a printer is not necessary but desirable for reports
  40.  
  41.       VAX-P.I.M.S. and MS-DOS P.I.M.S. purchase price is a license 
  42.       for use, including registering for notice of updates.
